Shoflo Public API Access
planned
Ian Armstrong
Hey Shoflo.
I work as a designer on the Virtual Events side of the Dell Technologies events team. Our media production team uses Shoflo to coordinate coverage of events that range from a couple of hours to several days. On the technical end, we see a single broadcast.
We would love to see a way to do a JS callback so that we know exactly when a segment changes. Right now, it's a very labor-intensive process. Someone has to be on-site with the media team maintaining the schedule.
Obviously this is sub-optimal.
As a starting point, https://apiary.io/ is good at getting an API online very quickly.
We would LOVE to see this supported.

Compatibility with Stream Deck using a Companion Module similar to those on bitfocus.io
Matthew Peterson
This type of API compatibility would allow a Streamdeck to be used for the showcaller to easily advance to the next item in a show without requiring keyboard and mouse focus on the browser.
This could also be used to communicate data such as Current item number, IRT and Time of Day to be displayed on the Streamdeck.

@Cvent team, please consider building a module for Companion from bitfocus.io that can talk to ShoFlo

Open API to connect to and trigger other systems

Dave van Roon
This allows other systems to use the event of the showcaller advancing a cue. It could trigger a cue in a mediaserver, update the amount of time on the confidence clock, update the name of the presenters title, activate cuelights, and so on.
